Seth Woodard's New Principal!
Seth Woodard parents and guardians,
We are incredibly excited to announce the selection of Tyrone Hoard as Seth Woodard’s new principal starting next school year!
Tyrone has been the Assistant Principal at Centennial Middle School for the last 7 years and is eager to start transitioning to Seth Woodard, which is his dream job. He will be visiting Seth periodically in the spring to get a kickstart with his transition into the principal position. Tyrone has already been meeting one on one with the Seth Woodard staff over the past several days and looks forward to getting to know you and your students.
Tyrone has an extensive background in education ranging from high school to elementary school. He started his career in education in 2000, working as a teacher in Las Vegas and then at Rogers High School in Spokane. He then accepted a position in Spokane Public Schools as a Principal Assistant at two elementary schools (Hamblen & Spokane Public Montessori) that contained Behavioral Intervention classrooms and a parent co-op model. West Valley was lucky enough to hire Tyrone as the Assistant Principal at Centennial Middle School, where he has spent the last 7 years of his career.
Fun facts about Tyrone! He is a father of 5 amazing kids and a grandfather of 1 new grandbaby. His wife is a teacher at Ridgeline High School and he owns 85 fabulous bowties! He is also a world traveler and a connoisseur of great food. He is incredibly excited to take on the role of Seth Woodard’s new principal and continue to support the incredible education of each and every Seth Woodard student.
Congratulations to Tyrone and to Seth Woodard on your new adventures together!
