There will be an important issue on the February 13th ballot that deeply impacts your student’s education. The West Valley School District has two levies up for replacement: The Replacement School Programs and Operations levy and The Replacement Technology, Safety, Security, and Facilities Improvement Capital Projects levy. These levies provide the funding necessary for us to have the high quality programs your child has been a part of in West Valley Schools.
Under the new Washington State school funding formula, the replacement levy rate is reduced from $4.44 to $1.50 per $1,000 of assessed value. Both of these replacement levies will provide $2,000,000 per year to our schools and programs.
We ask you to please remember to vote on or before Tuesday February 13th. Ballots will be in your mailboxes sometime during the last week of January.
